Andre Copher: Pit/Mallets

This is Andre’s third year in working with the pit/mallets at AHS. Andre began studying music in school at the age of 12. He graduated from Paso Robles High School in 2003. Currently Andre is a Jazz Studies major at Cuesta College. This year he was a member of the Mandarins Drum and Bugle Corps front ensemble. Andre has a strong passion for all aspects of percussion, but the main focus of his studies lies in jazz drumset performance and solo classical marimba. His teachers include Darrell Voss, James Miley, Ron McCarley, John Zarco, Tayna Acojedo, and Brian Aguilar.
Hailley Cooper: Colorguard Coach

Hailley Cooper has been dancing and performing for approximately 10 years. She currently attends Cuesta College where she is majoring in dance and minoring in business. Hailley is a go getter and will be creating a new colorguard team at Atascadero Junior High School this year. She will be using her extensive experience to devise a unique program for the junior high students while coaching and choreographing work for the high school team. She has been part of the colorguard circuit for four years and also auditioned for Santa Clara Vanguard and will be auditioning (and making it!) this fall. Hailley also studies ballet and jazz at the aCademy of Dance in San Luis Obispo. Hailley, as a senior last year, was responsible for choreographing the spring concert performance of the AHS Colorguard.
