OUR SCHOOL
Geographically one of the largest school districts within the state, Atascadero Unified School District serves 5,700+ students. The district has one comprehensive high school (that's us!), one continuation high school, one junior high, and programs for independent studies and home schooling. Five of its eight elementary (grades K - 6) sites, as well as the Fine Arts Academy (grades 4 - 8) are located within the Atascadero city limits. Three additional sites are located in outlying areas: Santa Margarita, Creston, and Carrisa Plains. Our band students live in town, and in outlying areas, and some live in neighboring cities. (Some of those attend AHS because of the band program.)
